There’s a stunning line-up of new and updated cars at this year’s show.

This year's New York motor show has taken things up a notch, and how. Out of all the other global shows that take place throughout the year, New York is where the auto world unabashedly gets in your face. Right from a car that does wheelies to classic editions, the latest edition of the auto fiesta promises to enthral. Let us take a look at what's in store:

Acura TLX
Taking design cues from the Precision Concept that was revealed at the Detroit motor show last year, the Acura TLX will feature tools such as a dual-clutch transmission and a standard integrated dynamics system.

Dodge Challenger SRT Demon
Watch out for the new Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, updated from its existing 717hp to give it mightier performance. The generous updates and tweaks mean that this will be one of the most powerful cars to be showcased this year.

Ford GT
Other than having the centre position in the new motor show's video poster, we don't know much about its role this year. Expect it to take up quite a bit of attention with its ultra-efficient aerodynamics and 3.5-litre EcoBoost technology.

Infiniti QX80
The QX80 will be released after its makeover at New York this year. It was released here three years ago and the new model is expected to be just as roomy and comfortable as the previous model.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk
The car has been touted to be one of the fastest and most powerful SUVs, so its appearance this year has been highly awaited. The Trackhawk is fitted with Brembo brakes and gives a phenomenal output of 707hp, 875Nm of torque and a 0-60mph time of 3.5 seconds.

Range Rover Velar
Continuing its winning spree from the Geneva motor show this year, the Velar is all set to make heads turn this year in New York, too. The car comes with an impressive range of six engines, including a base 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, Ingenium diesel unit in 180hp and 240hp guises. Other options include the 2.0-litre Ingenium unit with 250hp and a similar but more powerful 300hp version.

Toyota FT-4X
Even when teasing the public with just a little of the new Toyota FT-4X, the car company has managed to convey some important details. The car sports a more rugged look than expected; it is speculated that the FT-4X may be a replacement for the Hummer-esque FJ Cruiser.

Ford Police Responder Hybrid Sedan
By launching its first hybrid cop car in New York, Ford is already getting a lot of things right. The car comes after the firm promised more hybrid power (when it came to models such as the Mustang and Transit) and is called the Police Responder Hybrid Sedan.

Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition
A facelifted version of the 370Z, the Heritage Version is a sleeker model that’s an impressive performer aided by a new high-performance clutch from aftermarket parts supplier Exedy for manual models. Other changes include a revised front and back light cluster and other upgrades to the exterior and interiors.

Nissan GT-R Track Edition
The GT-R Track Edition will soon go on sale in the US, so its presence in New York this year is important. It comes equipped with a specially developed Bilstein Damptronic suspension and a revised interior. The new car sits below the top-of-the-range GT-R Nismo but above other GT-R models.

Mercedes-AMG GLC 63
Though both SUV and SUV coupé versions of this car have already been revealed, New York is the first motor show appearance for the cars. Both get 475hp in standard or 510hp in AMG S guise.
