Nissan has recently launched a special edition GT-R which is exclusive for the Japanese market.

Nissan has come up with a special edition of the GT-R to celebrate the brand's partnership with tennis Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka. The Nissan GT-R Special Edition is available in three exterior colors, Midnight Opal, Brilliant White and Meteor Flake Black Pearl. Other addition for the special edition include LED stop lights on the dry carbon rear spoiler and a plate with each car's serial number in the engine bay to signify that the car is one of the 50 produced. Interiors of the car have also been altered based on the three exterior color schemes. Nissan hasn't announced the pricing for the car as of yet but is expected to do it by next month.

The current generation Nissan GT-R R34 has been in production for almost 11 years now. Nissan has been trying to cope up with the sales of other supercars by bringing in special editions every now and then. However, the next generation GT-R is in the development phase as we speak. It would be underpinned on a completely new platform and an electrified powertrain. A 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine could be paired with an electric motor or two, A KERS-like system could also be considered for the powertrain option. The car is bound to develop power output in excess of 600 HP for sure though.
