Nissan has unveiled its India-spec Kicks and it will be launched in early 2019.

Nissan has taken off the covers of the India-spec Kicks. The design of the India-spec Kicks is very much similar to the model which available in the international market. There has been some minor addition to the exteriors.

At the front, the Kicks gets a honeycomb mesh design grille along with V-motion chrome band, LED headlights with boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, the front bumper is redesigned and it now houses faux air inlets, fog lamps and an aluminium skid plate. The Kicks sits on 17-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the bumper is slightly restyled and there is a chrome slat just above the registration plate. The fuel inlet has also shifted to the right side of the car.

The India bound Kicks is bigger than the international model. It is based on the Alliance’s M0 platform. Though Nissan hasn’t revealed the exact ground clearance of the Kicks, we expect it to be around 200 mm. The boot space will also be more than 432-litres, as it is bigger in size than the international model. The Kicks will be a five-seater SUV. There will be an option for 8.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control and many other features.

The Kicks will be available in a 1.5-litre diesel motor which produces 110 BHP, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 1.5-litre petrol unit that churns out 106 BHP which comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. However, the Kicks will also be available with a CVT but only on the petrol variant. The Kicks will be priced from Rs. 9.4 lakhs to Rs. 15 lakhs (ex-showroom).
