Nissan Magnite Achieves 30,000 Units Sales Milestone in India

Nissan Magnite is the first global product to be launched under the Nissan NEXT transformation plan

Nissan launched Magnite last year in December in the country. The Japanese Automaker delivered 30,000th Magnite to a customer on Friday in Gurgaon. Furthermore, Nissan has managed to rake up 72,000 bookings for the compact SUV so far in India. The 30,000th Nissan Magnite was delivered to the respective owner in a special ceremony at the Gurgaon dealership. Guillaume Cartier, the Nissan Chairperson for India, Africa, Europe, Middle East, and Oceania (AMIEO) region handed over the keys to the customer on his visit to India. Besides that, the chairperson also presented the Nissan Global President’s Award to the Nissan India team for the launch of Nissan Magnite, a first for the Indian division. 

In the UV segment, Nissan has witnessed a growth of up to 2.78 percent which is 0.20 percent more from what it achieved last year. The Japanese carmaker sold 20,132 units of Magnite in the first seven months of FY2022. Besides this, Nissan has grown to 1.38 percent in the April-October period in the PV segment.


Nissan has equipped the top-end trim of Magnite with a plethora of features due to which it has been in demand. The feature list includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple Car play & Android Auto connectivity, a 7.0-inch TFT instrument cluster, a 360-degree surround view camera, cruise control, voice recognition technology, push start button, tyre pressure monitoring system among many others. Performance-wise, the Magnite is equipped with two petrol engines. The 1.0-litre 3 cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine churns out a top power of 71 bhp and a peak torque of 96 Nm. While the 1.0-litre 3 cylinder turbo petrol motor dishes out 99 bhp power and 160 Nm peak torque. Both engines get 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. The turbo petrol unit gets a CVT automatic gearbox as well.

Talking about the price, Nissan Magnite falls in the range of Rs 5.71 lakhs - Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). The compact SUV rivals the likes of Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, and Hyundai Venue.
