Nissan India has released the official interior images of the upcoming Magnite sub-compact SUV. The Nissan Magnite concept had its world premiere last month while it is expected to launch in January 2021 in the Indian market. The interior images reveal several elements in the cabin including the dashboard, seats, upholstery, steering wheel, digital instrument cluster and the huge touchscreen infotainment system. Nissan Magnite will take on the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Kia Sonet in India.

Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said, “The Nissan Magnite concept is an evolutionary leap in Nissan’s SUV history. Not only the exterior, but also the interiors exude premium-ness, sophistication and roominess. These core elements of design philosophy will be succeeded to the production model which is under development, coupled with superior technology on-board to be a game-changer in its segment.” As evident from the images, Nissan Magnite interior will be finished in a dual tone black and red upholstery with chrome inserts at door handles and steering wheel. The company has installed an 8-inch floating touchscreen unit which will be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The horizontally designed and hexagonally shaped AC vents are positioned above the infotainment system with rotary dials for them placed beneath the infotainment unit. Surprisingly, Nissan has gone in favour of the conventional rotary dials for AC functions in place of the touchscreen buttons, something we also witnessed in the recently launched all-new Honda City. The other talking point is the all-digital instrument cluster and the flat-bottomed steering wheel with audio and telephonic controls. Nissan Magnite will come loaded with a few best-in-segment features such as a 360-degree camera and cruise control. Mechanically, it will be offered with a couple of BS6 compliant 1.0L petrol engines with power outputs of 71bhp and 94bhp.
