Nissan Magnite Launch Date Announced as December 2

Nissan Motor India has finally announced that its sub-compact SUV,  Magnite will be launched on December 2, 2020, in the country. The subcompact SUV was originally expected to go on sale in India this month. However, the company has postponed the launch by a few days to ensure that the SUV reaches all dealerships across the country so that no customer is tuned back without having to get a look at it. Nissan had globally revealed the Magnite last month. According to rumours, Nissan Magnite is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 5.50 lakh - 8.15 lakh (ex-showroom). 




The Japanese automaker has already revealed majority of the information pertaining to the upcoming SUV. It will be offered in a total of four grades namely XE, XL, XV High, and XV Premium. Furthermore, Nissan is offering a ‘Tech Pack’ with the XV and XV Premium trim which will cost around Rs 25,000 - Rs 30,000 extra. The Tech Pack will comprise a wireless charger, air purifier, ambient mood lighting, puddle lamps, and high-end speakers. Apart from these, Nissan has equipped the subcompact SUV with several segment-first features. These include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a fully digital instrument cluster with 7-inch TFT display, automatic AC, rear AC vents, steering mounted controls, cruise control, push-button stop/start, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a flat-bottom steering.




"The upcoming launch of the All-New Nissan Magnite is a symbol of  Nissan’s commitment to the Indian market for the discerning customers," commented Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India on the announcement of the launch date. 




Under the bonnet, the upcoming Nissan Magnite will feature two petrol engine options. These will be a 1.0-litre B4D dual-VVT unit that will generate 72 bhp power while being mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. While the 1.0-litre HRA0 turbocharged petrol engine will develop a maximum power output of 99 bhp. This particular powertrain will be offered with a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission.
