Nissan India to launch New Premium SUVs and Electric Vehicles

Automotive Industry is slowly picking up pace with manufacturers launching new vehicles over the past few months and more planned in the coming days. Automobile brands are launching vehicles that will be complying with the new stringent BS6 emission norms. Nissan has'nt launched a single BS6 compliant model till now in the Indian market to the surprise of many but it will change soon by 2020 year-end. Nissan India is slated to launch new Premium SUVs and an Electric vehicles in 2020 to regain its foothold. Nissan plans to launch Pathfinder and Patrol for the Indian customers along with a planned move of bringing electric vehicle here too. 

There is a rumoured launch of Nissan's new compact SUV ‘Magnite’. It will be coming in two petrol engine variants. In its case, both will be 3 cylinders 1.0- litre turbocharged petrol units but producing different power output and torque. One engine choice could be HR10DDT churning out 117 bhp with a peak torque of 180 Nm. Another option for BS6 compliant Magnite would be the HR10DET producing power of 100 bhp and 152 Nm of peak torque. 

 

Nissan E Power

 On the electric vehicle front, Nissan Leaf will soon be seen running on Indian roads with expectations of its introduction in 2020. 2019 Nissan Leaf is  powered by 40 kWh batteries, and has a range of 270km on a single charge. Leaf’s features include a Bose stereo, an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen and a full range of safety equipment and driver aids, including smart cruise control, lane-keeping steering, blind-spot monitor and more. Nissan might introduce Note-E-Power in the Indian market if the demand for Hybrid vehicles arises. Powered by a 3 cylinder, 1198 cc petrol engine Note-E-Power offers a synchronous electric motor powered by 1.5 kWh lithium-i battery.  The vehicle generates 108 bhp of max power output and 254Nm of peak torque.
