Ola Electric to prioritize the production of S1 Pro for now due to the increased customer demand

Ola Electric dispatched the scooters to all the customers whose delivery was due in December 2021. Now, Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman & Group CEO, Ola, tweeted that the company’s final payment window will reopen on January 21 at 6 PM. Having said that, all the customers who have paid Rs 20000 will now be able to pay the remaining amount via the Ola app. The payment done during this window by the customers will confirm their booking for the scooter. Furthermore, the dispatch of the scooters will take place across January and February.

With customers showing more interest in the Ola S1 Pro, the brand plans to prioritize its production for now. Talking about the lower-spec S1, the production will begin only in late 2022. The customers who do not wish to upgrade to S1 Pro will have to wait for the time being. Once the booking has been confirmed, the customers will have to wait for a period of 10-20 days for the delivery of the scooter as it all depends on their location and specific city’s RTO regulations. Moving on, the company claims to have dispatched almost 4000 scooters during its December delivery window.
