Ola Electric's new innovative scooter has been spotted in Bangalore. Ola, which is known for its innovative tech-based EVs launched the new Ola S1 series in late January 2025. Their new scooters are based on the Gen 3 platform which brings a few major changes to the rider experience.
This model variant will accompany the Ola S1 Pro and S1 X variants. The new Ola S1 X+ closed a few key gaps that were seen in its predecessor. The scooter starts at ₹1.05 lacs ex-showroom and the deliveries for the bookings could soon start.
The new EV scooter has a 4 kWh battery pack and it's 1 kWh larger than the previous model. This means a better range and more power for everyday rides.
Charging has also improved with a 750W portable charger which is an upgrade from 500W earlier. The full charging time is now just 6 hours, which is 1.4 hours faster than the previous version.
The Ola S1 X+ delivers a peak power of 11 kW which makes it one of the most powerful scooters in its segment.
The new smart EV has a claimed range of 242 km on a single charge. The real-world range may vary based on riding conditions.
The top speed for this EV is an impressive 125 kmph. It is suitable for both city rides and highway cruising.

The Ola S1 X+ retains the stylish and futuristic look of the S1 electric scooter lineup. It will be available in five color options: White, Blue, Red, Silver, and Black. These color choices give customers more variety to match their personal style.
The new electric scooter is priced at ₹1.05 lakh (ex-showroom). The customers who booked the scooter can soon get their deliveries. It also comes with a 3-year/40,000 km warranty.
The Ola S1 X+ is built on the company’s latest Gen 3 platform and introduces several key improvements that address the gaps in previous model series.
New Mid-Drive Motor: Ola has moved from a hub-mounted motor (Gen 2) to a mid-drive motor with a chain drive system. This makes the scooter quieter, more durable, and energy-efficient.
Better Efficiency: Ola claims the new chain system improves energy efficiency by 2% and acceleration by 10%.
Advanced Braking System: The brake-by-wire technology and dual-channel ABS help improve safety and increase range by 15%.
Quick Acceleration: The top variant can go from 0-40 kmph in just 3 seconds.
