The company is in the process of revamping its commuter motorcycle portfolio and has introduced
upgraded versions of its Passion Pro and Passion XPro in India. The 2018 version of the Hero Passion
Pro costs Rs 53,189, while the Passion XPro is priced at Rs 54,189 (both prices are ex-showroom,
Delhi). Hero commands around 75 percent of market share in the 100-110cc segment, so these
updates were an important step.
The updated bike features a digital-analogue instrument console instead of the analogue unit, and it
also features a side stand indicator. There’s a new 109cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, which also
powers the new Splendor iSmart 110, and generates 9.3hp and 9Nm of torque. You also get Hero’s
i3S (Idle-Stop- Start System) tech for better efficiency. The bike is available with five colour palettes –
sports red, black monotone, force silver, heavy grey metallic and frost blue metallic. There are two
variants on sale, one with drum brakes on both ends and one with an optional disc brake at front.
The 2018 Hero Passion XPro is based on the new Passion Pro. But, this bike gets sharper and sportier
styling, including an LED tail-light.
