Citroen displays C5 Aircross for Indian market.

After a lot of waiting, French giant Citroen displayed their C5 Aircross for the Indian market. C5 Aircross will be the company’s first car in India and will lock horns with the likes of Tata Harrier and Jeep Compass in the compact SUV segment. French parent company PSA Group decided to pick their Citroen brand over the more famous Peugeot in India. Take a look at the photos of the C5 Aircross that was recently presented in Chennai.

The upcoming Citroen C5 Aircross will be made on PSA’s EMP2 platform and will come with a very futuristic design as far as the Indian market is concerned.

The DRLs and the headlamps the C5 Aircross are separated by a thin white chin. The huge air dams at the bottom come with red accents on them.

The floating roof design is present in the upcoming SUV with a chrome stripe all across the window line of the upcoming car.

C5 Aircross comes with a 3D design LED tail lamps setup and the pattern of design here is the one you will find all across the vehicle. This shows the design integration of the car.

The exhaust vents present at the back do not actually function as seen and only add to the looks of the C5.

C5 Aircross presented at the company event was fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels that added to the looks of the upcoming SUV, although there is no confirmation whether these wheels will make it to the production version of the SUV.

The front grille of the car when viewed from top looks like a bow with the Citroen logo sneakily hidden away in the center lending curvature to the bow shape.

Keeping in trend with the other offerings of the market Citroen C5 Aircross also comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The normal speedometer and dials are not present here but the C5 Aircross features a 12.3-inch digital instrument console, a feature that still has to make its way to affordable cars in India.

As already mentioned the design of the tail light makes its way to the interiors as well and the AC air vents are one of the many examples.

The steering wheel on the C5 Aircross comes with a lot of controls on board. The design element of the LED tail lamps also make an appearance here and the button clusters reminds one of the 3D tail lamps at back.

There are a lot of holes in the central area of the SUV and various controls are found here as well.

Apart from the central console, there is a roof mounted equipment cluster as well, which also houses the screen for the 360 camera assisted parking.

The large size of Citroen C5 Aircross means there is ample of space for storing luggage at the back, 580 liters to be precise.

The electronic parking brake lever is visible and so is the premium looking gearshift lever.
