Country heads are always accorded the highest order of safety, comfort and luxury whenever they are traveling within the country or abroad. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, is no exception as he is often seen chauffeured in some of the world's best protected and opulent vehicles. Recently, Mercedes-Maybach S650 Guard made its way in the official convoy of the Indian PM which already comprises of the likes of Range Rover Vogue, Toyota Land Cruiser and BMW 7-Series 760Li High Security Edition.

PM Modi arrived in a Mercedes-Maybach S650 Guard at Hyderabad House earlier this month to meet his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin who was on an official state visit to India. For those asking, the S650 Guard costs a whopping Rs 12 Crores (Ex. Showroom) while coming with the highest level of VR10 armored protection which can withstand hardened steel core bullets, rocket launcher attacks and various other explosives. The security cover of the Prime Minister of India is handled by SPG (Special Protection Group) and it is the sole authority to decide the vehicle in the official convoy of the PM. Earlier during his stint as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi was often seen in Mahindra Scorpio.
Speaking of Mercedes-Maybach S650 Guard, it rides on puncture proof tyres. It is capable of protecting the occupants from a 15 kg TNT explosion from a distance of 2 meters. In addition, it comes equipped with a special air supply mechanism which comes handy during a gas attack. A few of the ultra luxury features in the saloon include massaging seats, repositionable rear seats and a secure communication system. Under the hood, it has a massive 6.0L twin-turbo V12 engine which delivers top power of 516 bhp and peak torque of 900 Nm. It has a top speed of 160kmph. Mercedes-Maybach S650 Guard was globally unveiled in 2019 but it has not been officially launched in India yet.
