Polaris India launched its first road-legal vehicle called the Sportsman 570 at an introductory price of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This price in the coming months is expected to increase to Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Polaris has categorized the Sportman 570 as a tractor on its official website, however its resembalance with the ATV (All-Vehicle Terrain) line-up in the company's product portfolio states that it is mainly targeted at the agricultural sector users.
Under the skin, the Sportsman 570 comes powered by a 567 cc, 4-stroke engine that produces 34 bhp power. It also features an electronic fuel-injection system alongside a four-wheel-drive unit. The ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) has a ground clearance of 280 mm and offers roadside assistance along with a one year extended warranty. As per the current tractor norms in India, the Sportsman 570 gets electronically limited top speed of 60 kmph.
The optimum weight and compact design allow the Sportsman 570 to carry heavy loads. It features underbody airflow for better cooling and quieter riding. Polaris has equipped the Sportsman 570 with a backrest for pillion. It also gets adjustable seats for shere convenience of driver and co-passenger while passing over challenging terrain.
The Sportsman 570 offers a host of advanced technology features to enhance farming quality. The AVT features a handlebar for steering instead of the wheel for better control. It comes fitted a factory-installed winch and a plow-mount plate along with the integration of pesticide sprayer, cultivator, disc harrow and a utility cart with a towing capacity of up to 81 kgs. This provides added benefits and increased output to farmers.
