Porsche will launch the Cayenne Coupe in India on 13th December 2019.
As reported earlier the model will be launched in two models the base V6 and V8 powered Turbo. The coupe will be priced higher than the standard Cayenne.
The top-spec Cayenne Turbo S e-Hybrid Coupe, with the help of V8 PHEV powertrain, will pump out 680hp of power. However, this top-spec variant could be launched at a later stage.
Following the likes of BMW X6, X4 and X2, the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and GLC Coupe, and the Audi Q8, Porsche joined the SUV- coupe club earlier this year. The Cayenne Coupe is based on the standard Cayenne SUV that gets a sloping roof and aggressive design. To adjust for the sloping roof, the rear seat has been placed lower.
The Cayenne Coupe features the same powertrains that are also on the standard Cayenne SUV that has a turbocharged petrol V6 engine that delivers 340hp of power and the Turbo churning out 550hp from its twin-turbo V8.
Both the variants sports an all-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed automatic gearbox. You can expect Porsche to price the Cayenne Coupe higher than the standard Cayenne in the Indian market.
