The electrified version of the Cayenne is called the E-Hybrid and it will be launched in India in September 2018. The car’s powertrain of the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid that’s sold in international markets. The car uses a 3.0-litre V6 engine instead of the Panamera's 2.9-litre unit and the motor sends power via an eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic gearbox. The engine makes 462hp and 700Nm, and this can propel the car to 100kph in a claimed time of 5sec and a top speed of 253kph.
The car promises to deliver fuel efficiency of 30.03kpl (according to the New European Driving Cycle) thus making it the most efficient version of the current-gen SUV. On pure electric mode, the car can travel up to 43.5km and can hit a top speed of 135kph. It takes 7.8hrs to fully charge the 14.1kWh battery with a 230V connection.
The car also comes with new driver assistance technology and an advanced version of adaptive cruise control. The car also comes with a heated windscreen, remote-operated independent heating and massage seats as optional extras.
