After making plans for its official launch for the international market, Renault might relaunch the new Duster SUV in India after a few years.

Renault will launch the Duster SUV for global markets. The French multinational automobile manufacturer is ready to launch the new 2023 Duster in Portugal on November 29, 2023. In comparison to the previous variants of Duster SUVs, this third-generation Duster will be more powerful. In January 2022, the Dacia company became part of the Renault’s Dacia-Lada business unit. Dacia has been developing the third-gen Duster SUV on a new CMF-B modular platform. After making plans for its official launch for the international market, Renault might relaunch this new SUV in India after a few years.

The Renault Duster will be launched first in South America, New Zealand, and Australian markets. The new Duster will be unveiled with Renault badging. It will be launched in Europe with Dacia badging in 2024.

The third-generation Duster will come with three engine options to choose from. The Duster SUV will be powered by a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit that can churn out 167.6 bhp of power. Next, the Duster is expected to be equipped with a 10-litre petrol engine that churns out 109 bhp of power. As a compact SUV, the Renault Duster was launched in the Indian market back in 2012. The Renault Duster was one of its kind, and SUVs like the Hyundai Creta competed with it much later. The Renault Duster was on sale for almost 10 years, but the company had to stop the production process because sales figures were dwindling. Renault pulled the plug on this SUV in April 2022. Before its discontinuation in India, the Duster SUV came with two powertrains, including a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine that generated 154 bhp and 254 Nm and a 1.5-litre petrol engine that generated 105 bhp and 142 Nm of peak torque. For transmission, a 6-speed manual, a CVT unit, and a 5-speed manual was available in the Duster SUV.
