Renault has updated the Kwid with new features including additional safety features to make it 2019 ready

Renault's entry-level car, Kwid is now equipped with more safety and convenience features and surprisingly the French carmaker hasn't increased the pricing of the car. The 2019 Renault Kwid starts with the same price of Rs. 2.66 lakhs (ex-showroom). After updating the Kwid a few months back with slight cosmetic changes and features, it has been updated yet again.

The 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system has now been updated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It has a push to talk button as well which enables voice recognition for various functions regarding calls, music, etc. The Renault Kwid is now equipped with ABS, EBD, driver airbag, driver & co-driver seatbelt reminder and speed alert as standard across all the variants.

There are no other changes to the car and it is powered by the same engine options. The 799cc petrol motor produces 54 BHP and 72 Nm while the 999cc petrol motor produces 68 PS and 91 Nm. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission while the 1.0-litre engine comes with AMT gearbox option.
