Renault Launches its Captur in India

The car will be sold in three variants with a choice of petrol or diesel engines.

Prices for the Captur start at ₹9.99 lakh for the base petrol RXE variant and go up to ₹13.88 lakh for the top-end Platine variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Platine version is only available in diesel form. Prices for now are introductory, and will rise in the near future.

The Captur Features two engines - the familiar 1.5-litre K9K diesel that makes 110hp and a 1.5-litre petrol that put out 106hp and 142Nm.

The car is fitted with LED headlamps with daytime running lamps and dynamic turn indicators, and a smart access card for keyless entry and 17-inch alloy wheels. There's a 7.0-inch touchscreen unit with Bluetooth, USB, aux-in, integrated maps and navigation. The interiors wear a twin white and gold tone, white and black leatherette seats and ambient LED lighting are on offer as well.

The Captur is fitted with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist and the company has stated that the car is certified for offset frontal and lateral crash.
