Taking part in Auto Expo 2020, Renault India has just announced that it would be showcasing 12 cars next week. These would include a mix of two design concepts, a sub 4 metre SUV, a sub 4 metre sedan, an AMT version of Renault Triber, a Formula One car and couple of EV’s. Here is the complete list of vehicles that would be on exhibit at the upcoming auto show.
The Renault Triber has been an instant hit with consumers in India. And to ride high on this success, the French manufacturer is expected to unveil an AMT version of this MPV. The Triber currently features a 1.0 litre petrol engine that is good for 71 bhp and 92 Nm torque. Though speculation has it that we could get to see a more powerful 1.0 litre turbocharged unit make it debut at the exhibition.
The SUV segment is the place to be in and after having tasted huge success with the Duster, Renault is all-set to make in-roads with its Sub 4 metre SUV. Codenamed HBC Sub 4 metre, the vehicle is based on Renault’s Compact Modular Family (CMF-A) Architecture. Like the Renault Triber and KWID, this SUV could feature two petrol engine options comprising of the normal 1.0 litre unit while a more powerful 1.0 litre turbo-charged powertrain could also be on the cards.
This is no kept secret that Renault has been plowing with the idea of introducing a sub 4 metre sedan to take on the likes of Maruti Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire and Volkswagen Ameo. It is believed to be based on the same platform as HBC Sub-4 metre SUV but its exterior design ques are expected to be that of the KWID
Electric vehicles would be a key topic of discussion at this years Auto Expo. And to deliver on that note, Renault is expected to put on the podium its all-electric hatchback – Zoe EV. Renault Zoe EV could come to India as it has a very appealing exterior design with cutting electric technology. Zoe EV offers a range of 390 kms and has the facility of fast charging.
In the first look, it might seem quite familiar because of the fact that the Renault KIWD facelift is inspired from this electric hatchback. Renault City K-ZE has a range of 250 kms in a single charge.
Besides these vehicles, Renault should introduce BS6 engines for Renault Duster and Captur SUV. The company has already launched BS6 Renault Triber and Renault KWID in India.
