Revolt Electric Bikes Launched in India

Newly established company Revolt has finally launched their new electric motorcycles in the Indian market. The two new electric bikes from the company RV300 and RV400 were earlier showcased for the public and now they are available for purchase. However, what is interesting here is that the bikes cannot be purchased outright and are only available via the EMI purchase option. The entry level model RV300 has an EMI of Rs 3,000, the RV400 will be offered for Rs 3,499 per month while the RV400 Premium will cost Rs 3,999 per month. The customers will have to pay the EMIs for a total of 37 months. Also, there is no downpayment for the bikes. The company states that the booking number for bikes has already gone up to 2,500, which shows the public's interest in bikes.

The Revolt RV300 will be the entry level bike offering from the company and it comes with a 1.5kW motor that gives the bike a range of 150 kms on a single charge in the Eco mode, 110 kms in normal mode, and 80 kms in Sport mode. The top speed of the bike is 65 kmph. When compared to the more expensive RV400, the RV300 comes with a smaller rear disc brake, rear tyre and wheelbase.

Talking of RV400, the company states that as per ARAI the range of the RV400 is around 156 kilometres. This range makes it ideal for city commutes and occasional highway runs. The bike is also targeted at similar users and the flat handlebar as well as relaxed ride posture of the bike indicates the same. The RV400 can hit a top speed of 85 kmph which is again more than enough for city rides. Not to mention that the top speed come on relatively quickly as the electric motor ensures instantaneous torque delivery. The company claims that the bike can be fully charged in 4 hours via a 15 amp socket. Then comes the RV400 Premium which apart from every other feature of RV400 also offers artificial exhaust note.

Talking about the aforementioned connected features of the Revolt bikes, the bike comes with features like remote diagnostics, geo-fencing, cloud services and over-the-air updates. The AI feature in the bike will also monitor the riding pattern of the user and the insurance premium of the bike may go up or down depending on the same. The bike also comes with the option of removable battery that can be taken out and charged.

Apart from being an all-electric bike, the biggest highlight of the Revolt bikes has to be the internet connectivity features that it will come with. Not to mention that the brand is also touting the AI (Artificial Intelligence) features of the bike that will be powered by the same internet connectivity feature. The bike aims to remain connected via an integrated 4G SIM card that will come with the RV400. Revolt will start the deliveries from September and the first batch of bikes will be delivered in Delhi. Next, the bikes will be launched in cities like Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Chennai. This will be done in next four months.
