The Indian automobile industry is getting back on its feet after a turbulent couple of months. Dealerships have started delivering vehicles and accepting bookings for their respective models. Some of the motorcycle brands like Royal Enfield have announced a price hike for selected models. The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer has increased prices of the new Bullet 350 and Classic 350 by Rs 2,754 while the Himalayan experiences a rise of Rs 2,755. The new price for both Royal Enfield Classic and Bullet 350 stand at Rs 1.60 lakhs and Rs 1.24 lakhs respectively. Meanwhile Royal Enfield Himalayan now comes at a price tag of Rs 1.90 lakhs (all prices mentioned here are ex-showroom).
Royal Enfield is offering benefits on selected models. The Chennai based motorcycle brand is offering accessories worth Rs 10,000 free on the purchase of any new Royal Enfield motorcycle. This includes the Royal Enfield Himalayan and moreover on bookings made before the 31st of May 2020. Interested Customers looking to buy Royal Enfield apparel and motorcycle accessories will also get an additional 20 percent discount.
The company is also extending this offer to customers who made bookings before and during the lockdown but are yet to get their motorcycle delivery. Royal Enfield will have this offer available for customers till the end of May 2020.
The offer is only applicable through online bookings and selected dealerships which are resuming operations as the lockdown eases in the country. BS6 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is available in 4 different colour options - Bullet Silver, Onyx Black, Forest Green and Black. Mechanically, Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is powered by an updated version of the existing 346cc single-cylinder engine. It comes with a fuel injection technology churning out 19.1bhp @ 5250rpm and peak torque performance of 28Nm @ 4000rpm. The engine is linked to a 5-speed gearbox.
As for the BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350, it is powered by the same 346cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine with an electronic fuel injection system that is available with Bulet 350. The engine delivers 19.1 bhp power and 28 Nm torque. The mill is offered with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. BS6 Classic 350 is sold in six colour options - Stealth Black, Chrome Black, Classic Black, Airborne Blue, Stormrider Sand, and Gunmetal Grey.
Whereas the BS6 Royal Enfield Himalayan is available in six colour namely -White, Black, Sleet, Grey, Blue, and Red. It is powered by a 411cc, air-cooled, 4-strokes, 2-valve, single-cylinder, fuel injection SOHC engine. The powerplant produces 24.3 bhp of maximum power @ 6500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque @ 4000-4500 rpm. Comes mated to a 5-speed constant mesh transmission.
