Royal Enfield Motorcycles will be launching the much-awaited Meteor 350 on the 6th of November 2020. The upcoming bike will be replacing the BS4 compliant Thunderbird 350 siblings that have now been discontinued in the Indian market. The cruiser motorcycle has been spotted doing test runs multiple times in the past. A few days back, the brochure of the bike was also leaked online. This further gave us a fair idea about what all features it will possess along with the variant names.
Thus the leaked brochure revealed that the upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will be offered in a total of three variants namely Fireball, Stellar, and Supernova. Apart from this, the bike will be available in a total of seven colour schemes namely Fireball Yellow, Fireball Red, Stellar Red metallic, Stellar Black matte, Stellar Blue metallic, Supernova Brown dual-tone, and Supernova Blue dual-tone.
The New Meteor 350 will be based on the new J1D platform that will also underpin future Royal Enfield bikes. As for the features, it will come equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled GPS system called ‘Tripper navigation’ and a gear position indicator on its digital-analog instrument cluster. The entry-level Fireball variant will get a black engine with machine cooling fins, black components, a single-colour fuel tank, among others. The mid-spec Stellar trim will offer body-coloured components, premium badges, an exhaust system, backrest, and chrome finish on handlebars. Finally, the top-end Supernova variant will provide premium features like machined alloy wheels, chrome indicators, premium seat upholstery, and windscreen. The company is also offering the new bike with a range of accessories such as a large windscreen, rear luggage support frames, an engine guard among many others.
Mechanically, the upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will get a new 350cc single-cylinder, air-cooled long-stroke engine that will generate a maximum power of 20.2 bhp and a peak torque of 27 Nm. The engine will be linked to a 5-speed gearbox. Furthermore, it will also come equipped with a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) and an electronic fuel-injection system.
