The upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will be launched with the option of factory-fitted accessories
Royal Enfield will be launching its Meteor 350 anytime soon. The motorcycle has been spied doing test rides in the production-ready format on multiple occasions. Recently, a test mule of the bike was spotted again along with several accessories installed. 'Belt Ur Drive' has posted the spy shot of the two-wheeler on their Facebook page.
The Royal Enfield Thunderbird successor will be introduced with various optional accessories in the Indian market. According to the spy shot, the motorcycle will get a large windscreen in the front that will further protect the rider from wind-blast during high-speed cruising. A wider and premium footrest is also thrown into the accessories package that will provide comfort to both the rider and the pillion during the long-distance touring. Other additional factory-spec accessories should include crash guards, pannier mounts, and silver levers.
In terms of features, Royal Enfield Meteor 350 gets a retro touch up front due to the round-shaped halogen headlamp with LED DRL. Riding on a new set of alloy wheels, the bike also provides a split seat setup. Its rear-view mirrors get a classic design. At the rear end, the round-shaped tail-light and indicators deliver a vintage appeal to the bike.
Under the frame, the Meteor 350 is likely to debut an all-new BS6 compliant engine equipped with a Single Overhead Camshaft (SOHC) and an Electronic Fuel-Injection System. Suspension duties here will be taken care by a set of conventional telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers towards the rear. As for the brakes, the bike is likely to get discs at both ends with double channel ABS. Also, it will use a double cradle chassis that has been developed with the help of Harris’s performance which is the company’s performance partner.
Besides this, the New Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is expected to be slightly more expensive than the Thunderbird 350. It will most likely be priced around Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom), when launched in the country.
