Royal Enfield is expanding its business globally as they are churning out huge volumes in the Indian market as well as exporting big numbers to other countries as well. We all know, you can't get a Royal Enfield off the shelf, it always has a waiting period thanks to the huge demand. The Indian bike maker is expanding its operations in Tamil Nadu since a while and they have now invested Rs. 500 crore more.

After investing over Rs. 1000 crores, Royal Enfield is now investing an additional Rs. 500 crores in Tamil Nadu and it will be used to expand their manufacturing facilities and set up a new technical center in TN. An MoU has been signed between the state government and Royal Enfield which says RE will invest Rs. 1500 crores in total over 5 years starting from May 2016 and in return, the govt will provide fiscal and monetary incentives to the bike maker.

Royal Enfield has three manufacturing plants in Tamil Nadu - Thiruvottiyur, Oragadam and Vallam Vadagal near Chennai where they produce bikes for the domestic as well as export markets. The technology centre is being set up on the Old Mahabalipuram Road. With the rising demand and new products coming up, this is a wise move from Royal Enfield.
