Simple Energy has announced that the deliveries of the One electric scooter will start from June 2022 in the Indian market. Having made its debut on August 15, 2021 in the country, Simple One is priced at Rs 1.10 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). The e-scooter has received more than 30,000 bookings till date. It will be developed at phase 1 of the manufacturing unit located at Hosur, Tamil Nadu which has an annual capacity of up to 1 million units. Simple One electric scooter can be booked online by paying Rs 1947 at the company's website.
Being termed as the fastest manufactured ‘Made in India’ e-scooter, Simple One comes with the highest driving range of 203 kms in Eco mode which can be further increased upto 236 kms in IDC for a fully charged battery. It does a 0-40kmph sprint in merely 2.95 seconds while clocking a top speed of 105kmph. The features onboard include best-in-segment 30-litres boot space, intuitive smart dashboard and integrated turn indicators both on the front & rear side. The Hosur factory is currently getting ready for mass manufacturing, and will be operational in the coming weeks. The company has also commissioned a second plant in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, which will be spread across 600 acres and have a capacity of 12.5 mn units annually — making it the largest two-wheeler producer in the world.
