The 2022 Skoda Karoq’s world premiere will take place on November 30 via digital media

Skoda Auto is all set to give a mid-cycle update to ist second best-selling model Karoq. The digital premiere of the freshened Skoda Karoq will take place on November 30. Ahead of its global unveiling, the Czech automaker released two design sketches which gives us a fair idea of what the vehicle will look like. Following the official debut, we can expect the sale of the compact SUV to commence in Europe in the first quarter of 2022.

In terms of design, the upcoming Karoq will get several changes. The front fascia features a mildly updated grille. It now gets a hexagonal shape. The headlights have been reshaped. The slightly slimmer lower section of the headlight is seen approaching the front grille in the sketches. This set up further reminds us of the previous-generation Skoda Octavia. In comparison to the current-gen Karoq, the lower lights are now angled towards the side of the car instead of pointing at the grille. Moving on, we could see that the cluster is slightly bigger than the one present in the outgoing model. It is further housed in the bumper along with a wide air intake. However, the top-end trim will get a separate LED module. This whole setup enables a characteristic four-eyed driving lights.

The rear end of the vehicle also gets subtle tweaks. The taillights get a new, sharply drawn design. They further extend to the tailgate. Similar to the headlights, they too have been slimmed down thereby emphasising on the width of the car. Besides this, the vehicle gets a longer rear spoiler and a visually updated rear apron with a black diffuser. Moving on, one could find the big ‘SKODA’ lettering on the tailgate which replaces the company’s logo. The crystalline structure adds a special effect to the taillights thereby retaining the characteristics of a C-shaped graphic.
