Skoda launches Octavia Corporate Edition for existing owners of premium sedan in India.

Skoda India has announced the launch of its Octavia Corporate Edition for India. Based on the Style variant of the same premium sedan, this particular version of the car is only available for people who already are Skoda customers. 

The prices for Octavia Corporate Edition begin from Rs. 15.49 lakh (petrol) and Rs. 16.99 lakh (diesel), ex-showroom, India. Do note that the new Octavia Corporate Edition is the base model of the car and is for now available in only one color scheme -- Candy White.

Skoda Octavia Corporate Edition shares a lot of its features and equipment with the Ambition variant of the Octavia line-up. However, one can clearly notice the quad headlamps that seem to have been taken from the Style variant of the premium sedan. Octavia Corporate Edition also comes with 16-inch Velorum alloys, LED tail lamps on the rear. Step inside and one is greeted with stylish beige upholstery on the car and dual-tone tone Onyx Ivory work on the dashboard. The 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment display present inside the cabin comes with the support of MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The interiors also have 2-zone Climatronic air-con system that is equipped with the clean-air function as well.

As far as the engine department is concerned, Skoda is offering the Octavia Corporate Edition with a 1.4L turbopetrol engine that produces 150 PS power and 250 Nm torque. The engine takes the car to an impressive 0-100 km/h in merely 8.1 seconds and a top speed of 219 kmph. ARAI rates this car to provide a mileage of 16.7 kmpl. Coming to the diesel engine of the car, it comes equipped with a 2.0L turbodiesel engine rated for 143 PS and 320 Nm. The diesel model too is impressive with the 0-100 km/h mark coming up only in 8.4 seconds and a top speed of 218 km/h, the mileage also continues to impress with the ARAI rating being 21 kmpl.

Talking of the safety equipment, Skoda maintains its loaded badge here as well and the new Octavia Corporate Edition comes with 4 airbags, ABS+EBD, Hydraulic Brake Assist, Anti-Slip Regulation, Motor Speed Regulation, Electronic Diff-lock, ESP, and Multi-Collision Braking.

With the launch of the new variant Skoda has also brought out a new ‘Shield Plus’ program for owners that provides the prospective owners with free insurance for 3 years, 24x7 roadside-assistance 5th and 6th year, and extended warranty up to fifth and sixth year or 1.5 lakh km. Skoda Octavia locks horns with Toyota Corolla Altis, Hyundai Elantra and new Honda Civic in Indian market.
