Prices for the facelifted Octavia start at ₹15.50 lakh for the base 1.4 petrol Ambition variant, while the diesel range starts at ₹16.9 lakh.
The new front features a striking quad headlamp design - higher trims will get adaptive, full-LED lighting with an auto high-beam function. Skoda has reworked the bonnet, and revised the bumpers and tail-lamps.
Other features include hands-free parking function, panoramic sunroof with remote operation, 12-way electric-adjust driver seat with memory, navigation and a driver fatigue monitoring system as per trim levels. There’s even a new 8.0-inch high-resolution touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink compatibility.
The car will continue with the same three engines and three gearboxes as the previous car. So you can get either a 2.0 litre diesel mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed DSG, or two petrols – a 1.4 and 1.8 TSI. The smaller petrol comes with a six-speed manual only, while the larger 1.8 unit is mated to a seven-speed DSG gearbox.
