The limited-run Octavia will feature stylistic changes; will be costlier by about ₹22,000.

Skoda is all set to launch a limited-run ‘Onyx’ edition for the Octavia executive sedan, which it has teased on its website.

Only 100 units of the special edition will be made, and will only be available on the fully loaded Style Plus variant. Bits that set it apart from the standard Octavia include black 16-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out side-view mirror housings, front grille and a black rear spoiler. However, there are no changes to the car’s interiors.

There are no mechanical changes to the car either. The petrol car comes with a 180hp 1.8-litre turbo engine that’s mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, while the diesel model is powered by a 143hp 2.0-litre motor that’s paired to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Expect the Onyx edition to cost around ₹19,000-22,000 more than the standard Style Plus variants.

Ex-showroom, Delhi prices for Skoda Octavia Style Plus
Petrol: ₹21.5 lakh
Disesl: ₹23.1 lakh
