The car features a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 230hp and 350Nm. This ‘hot’ version of the latest Octavia is priced at ₹24.62 lakh (ex-showroom).

Based on the recently launched Octavia, the RS features a re-tuned 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol motor that puts out 230hp and 350Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and Skoda claims it can hit 100kph time in 6.8sec.

The car’s suspension setup is different - the RS sits lower to the ground. The car features a more aggressive body kit, blacked-out trim bits and larger 17-inch alloy wheels. On the outside, there are LED headlamps, tail-lamps, fog lamps and daytime running lights (DRLs), steel exhaust tips and a tailgate spoiler.

As far as tech is concerned, there’s a new touchscreen infotainment system, nine airbags, ESP and a park-assist system.
