The new Yeti was spotted somewhere in the Czech Republic ahead of its 2018 unveil.

As you can see from the spy shots, the design of the new car varies hugely from the earlier car you’re accustomed to seeing. It looks more like a conventional SUV now rather than a crossover. It is likely to be longer, larger and more spacious on the inside. The crossover looks like its length could easily be in the range of 4.4 metres gauging by the spy images. The new Yeti’s 2,600mm wheelbase is 22mm longer than the outgoing model.

This second-gen Skoda has a lot in common with the recently unveiled Seat Ateca SUV sold internationally. For instance, the Yeti will share body panels, like its doors and roof, with the Ateca. However, the shape of the glass on the rear quarter differs from that on the Ateca. The new car also gets a unique front and rear appearance – in line with the larger Kodiaq SUV’s styling.

There are no details on the engine that will power the car as of now but it is safe to expect the new car to feature engines similar to the ones in the current Volkswagen Tiguan and Seat Ateca.
