MV Agusta Superveloce 98 Special Edition Revealed

MV Agusta has revealed the MV Agusta Superveloce 98 Edition. The Superveloce was first unveiled in 2018, and since then, the company has launched multiple variants for the same.

MV Agusta has revealed the limited-run Superveloce 98 special edition for global markets. MV Agusta is the third-oldest Italian motorcycle manufacturer. The Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta is celebrating the 80th anniversary of the iconic 98cc engine by revealing the limited-run Superveloce 98. The Superveloce was first revealed in 2018, and since then it has come out in different versions. This special edition is likely to be selected by dedicated collectors, and only 300 units will be made. As a motorcycle manufacturer, MV Agusta started its journey by unveiling the MV 98 two-stroke engine, which was designed in 1943. The first mass-produced bike that used the iconic mill was the Vespa 98. The 98-cc single-cylinder engine was produced to make transport easy for the masses in the post-war period.

The MV Agusta Superveloce 98 is equipped with a 78-cc displacement that churns out 147 bhp and an asserted top speed of 240 kmph, a motor, and two additional cylinders. The new motorcycle comes in a dark burgundy color known as "Rosso Varghera". A vertical silver-colored stripe can also be seen in its fairing and Alcantra seats. The motorcycle has Alcantra leather passenger and rider seats. To minimize friction and improve performance, a counter-rotating crankshaft accompanied by DLC coating is also added to the special Superveloce 98.

In the custom map, the four riders offer full personalization, and customers can opt from the four riding modes: Custom, Race, Rain, and Sport. The braking system incorporates Brembo Stylema M4.30 front calipers, accompanied by recalibrated ABS from Continental. The MV Agusta Superveloce 98 has an AP-controlled engine, rider aid setup, recalibrated ABS from Continental, a 5.5-inch TFT dash with Bluetooth, and for navigation mirroring, it features the MV Ride App. When it comes to electronic aid, the special Superveloce 98 includes a Mobisat anti-theft system, launch control, cruise control, GPS, and front lift control.

The MV Agusta Superveloce 98 comes with a neo-retro vibe. It is equipped with a muscly fuel tank, a sloping windscreen, a clip-on handlebar, a rider-only saddle finished in Alcantara, a round LED tail lamp, a full fairing, and a circular LED headlamp.
