Come April 1, it will be mandatory for all two wheelers to be BS-IV compliant. Recently, Bajaj and KTM launched their BS-IV ready Pulsar and RC range, and now, Suzuki has introduced BS IV-compliant versions of the Gixxer range and Access 125 scooter, and has also spec’d them with the AHO (Automatic Headlight On) safety feature.
Besides the BS-IV compliance, the Gixxers come with clear-lens LED tail-lamps and new graphics. The naked bike costs Rs 80,528(disc), while the base model starts at Rs 77,452 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The fully faired versions of the Gixxer, the Gixxer SF, too gets a set of new graphics and new paint schemes – Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Matt Black, and Pearl Mira Red. It now costs Rs 89,659 while the fuel-injected Gixxer SF Fi is priced at Rs 93,499.
Suzuki has introduced a new ‘Metallic Sonic’ paint scheme on the Access 125 scooter. It is now priced at Rs 57,615 for the disc brake version, while the drum brake version costs Rs 54,302.
By providing support for the maintenance of on-road motorcycles, the brand is trying to build up an association with South India's riding community.
