While the base Suzuki Jimny gets a 660cc petrol engine, the Jimny Sierra gets Suzuki’s all-new 1.5-litre petrol engine.

A leaked brochure has revealed details of the Jimny. It will get a 660cc, three-cylinder petrol engine and a larger engine variant, called the Jimny Sierra.

The new 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, petrol (K15B) engine is that same unit that will feature in the Ciaz facelift in a 104hp and 138Nm state of tune and will soon be under the hood of the upcoming second-gen Ertiga MPV.

You can choose between a five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmissions. The SUV will primarily send power to the rear wheels and to the front wheels when in 4WD mode. It will have four-wheel High and four-wheel Low settings for the 4WD system and front and rear differentials.
