Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched new liveries for its Gixxer 250 and Gixxer series today. This is being done to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Gixxer series. In order to pay homage to Suzuki’s early Grand Prix machines of the 1960s, the company has introduced Gixxer SF 250 in the new Triton Blue/Silver colour option. Talking about the Gixxer 250, it has been introduced in Metallic Triton Blue with Suzuki racing graphics. As for the Gixxer Series, both Gixxer and Gixxer SF will be re-introduced with a new big Gixxer graphic. This will give the motorcycles a sportier look. Apart from these, the Gixxer gets two new colour options namely Metallic Triton Blue and Pearl Mira Red. While Gixxer SF gets only Pearl Mira Red colour shade.
Commenting on the announcement, Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India said, “We are delighted to launch the new liveries for our Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Gixxer series. The 100th year anniversary Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 in the new Triton Blue/Silver will resemble the 2020 Suzuki Moto GP machine displaying the brand’s racing DNA and making it an apt choice for the enthusiasts. There has been a lot of queries that came our way to inquire about the launch of Triton Blue/Silver- Gixxer SF 250 after Moto GP 2020 was resumed from last July. As you all are aware, Gixxer 250 was displayed at the auto expo in Metallic Triton Blue colour, and post gauging the positive response of the consumers, we decided to go ahead with the launch in India. The thought process behind launching a new big Gixxer graphic in Gixxer SF and Gixxer models is to give more attractive and identical options to the customer while buying the motorcycle.”
Suzuki Gixxer is offered in two displacement options - a 155cc and 250cc. The 155cc Gixxer is powered by an air-cooled, fuel-injected engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox. This engine churns out 13.4 bhp power and 13.8 Nm torque. While the 250cc Gixxer gets an oil-cooled motor linked to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine belts out a maximum power of 26.1 bhp and a peak torque of 22.2 Nm.
