Suzuki Celebrates 100th Anniversary of Gixxer Series by introducing new colour options

Suzuki Motorcycle India recently announced on its social media handles that it will be launching new colour options for the Gixxer models. The company is doing this to commemorate its 100th anniversary of the Gixxer series. Furthermore, Suzuki will be revealing the new colour shades on October 7th, 2020. Invites have already been shared for the same. The addition of these new colour options might increase the price of the bike. However, the Gixxer SF and SF 250 already come in MotoGP liveries. This further makes them slightly more expensive than the base colours.

Born of Greatness

Suzuki Gixxer is available in two displacement options - a 155cc and 250cc. Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF are offered in three colour options namely Gulass Sparkle Black, Metallic Sonic Silver, and Metallic Triton Blue. Talking about Gixxer 250, it is available in two paint schemes. There is a single-tone Metallic Matte Black and a dual-tone Metallic Matte Silver/Metallic Matte Black. As for Gixxer SF 250, it is available in 3 different colours - Platinum Silver, Metallic Black, Triton Blue. Now the company has not confirmed yet as to which of these bikes will get the new colour options.

The 155cc Gixxer gets an air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that delivers 13.4 bhp power and 13.8 Nm torque. The motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The 250cc Gixxer, on the other hand, gets an oil-cooled motor. This engine churns out 26.1 bhp power and 22.2 Nm torque. Further, it is linked to a 6-speed gearbox.

Apart from these, Suzuki had given a new blue colour option to its Burgman Street 125 a few days back. This new paint scheme called Pearl Suzuki Medium Blue has surely added some freshness to the maxi-scooter. Suzuki has also released a teaser of its upcoming new motorcycle which is likely to hit the road next month. However, the company has not revealed the name of the bike yet.
