Tata Motors has finally revealed the prices of its premium hatchback the Altroz. Prices for Tata Altroz begin at Rs 5.29 lakhs to Rs 9.29 lakhs (ex-showroom) India. With BSVI complaint range of engines, Tata Altroz offers an array of customization options to customers wanting to buy this premium hatchback.

Tata Altroz which competes against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Toyota Glanza, Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo is a premium offering in the hatchback segment on behalf of Tata Motors. It is based on the company's ALFA (Agile, Light, Flexible and Advanced) architecture that provides a glimpse into the current and future products which would me making their way into the Indian market. Altroz happens to be the first such product to be based on this architecture. Tata Altroz petrol prices range from Rs 5.29 lakhs - 7.69 lakhs (ex-showroom) India whereas Tata Altroz diesel is priced between Rs 6.99 lakhs - Rs 9.29 lakhs (ex-showroom) India.
Tata Altroz has a ground clearance of 165mm. It is inspired from Tata Motor's Impact 2.0 Design philosophy that provides this hatchback a premium feel. As a result, Tata Altroz looks quite aggressive and appealing upfront with its muscular hood, projector headlamps, honeycomb mesh grille and LED DRL's that are incorporated within the fog lamp clusters. On to the sides, this vehicle features muscular wheel arches, sharp lines running right across the body, elegant alloy wheel design and a unique rear door handle which can be found towards the rear portion at the top. Meanwhile, the rear stands to provide a sculpted tailgate that brings together split LED tail lights, a Piano Black Finish panel insert placed right in the center, a rear spoiler and reflector inserts.
Interiors of Tata Altroz caters to an all-black cabin. The insides boost of a flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, a digital and analog instrument cluster, 7-inch TFT display, Harmon audio system with 4 speakers & 2 tweeters, climate control, ambient lighting, sliding arm rest with storage for the driver & co-passenger among many others.
Powering Tata Altroz are both petrol and diesel engines which are BSVI complaint. Tata Altroz Petrol comes equipped with a 1.2 litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of producing a power output of 86 bhp with 113 Nm of peak torque. Tata Altroz Diesel on the other hand, caters to a 1.5 litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that churns out 90 bhp and has a peak torque of 200 Nm. Currently the company is only offering a manual gearbox in both petrol and diesel variants of the Altroz. However according to some media reports we can expect the AMT to make an appearance sometime in the near future.
