Called ‘Autonomai’, the software will allow carmakers to rapidly build, test and ready self-driving cars.
Tata Elxsi, a design and technology services company, will provide advanced autonomous vehicle software 'Autonomai' to a leading original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for its driverless car R&D.
Tata Elxsi says that the Autonomai software will allow carmakers and to quickly develop autonomous vehicles. The software supports a host of sensors from cameras to radar, and employs artificial intelligence (AI) to control and regulate autonomous driving technologies.
"Carmakers will need to ensure that self-driving cars are able to communicate with each other through technologies such as V2X, adapt to different driving conditions, receive real-time maps and over-the-air software updates.
