Tata recently unveiled its grand plans of developing spanking new models under the ‘Tamo’ banner. Now, the company has given us a glimpse into what it’s got in store by unveiling a chic hatchback concept called the C-Cube.
This small hatch is a three-door city runabout that, like the recent Tiago, looks like nothing that the company has ever made. Its cab-forward design and short bonnet is very unique and the black mesh grille, big alloys and air-vents on the rear door (à la Nano) further add to the car’s sporty appeal. Given the lack of a real air-dam, the car previewed in by the C-Cube could very well be an electric car.
Tata says that the concept is built on the company’s latest AMP (advanced modular platform) which will also feature on upcoming models from Tamo. These cars will get latest car-connectivity technology that will spawn from the company’s recent partnership with Microsoft. It, however, remains tight-lipped about any details on the hatchback or any of its Tamo offerings.
The Indian carmaker is all set to unveil its Tamo Futuro – a two-seat sportscar concept – at the Geneva Motorshow (March 7-19), and it’s highly likely to reveal further details on the C-Cube at the Expo. Watch this space for more updates!
