Tata Motors has launched the Harrier Dark Edition in XT and XT+ trims in the Indian market

Tata Motors launched the Dark Edition of Harrier in August 2019 in India. The Dark Edition of the company's flagship SUV was available in higher-spec variants - XZ and XZ+. Now, the home-grown automaker has launched two more affordable mid-spec variants in the form of XT and XT+. The entry-level Dark Edition XT variant is priced at Rs 16.50 Lakhs (ex-showroom) while the XT+ variant is offered at Rs 17.30 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The company has also hiked the price of the recently launched standard Harrier XT+ by Rs 21,000. It is now available at Rs 17.20 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

Tata Harrier Dark Edition XT

Cosmetically, the Dark Edition XT and XT+ variants are quite identical to the existing top-end XZ variant. The duo features halogen projector headlamps while other design highlights include blacked out 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic wipers, ‘Dark’ badge at front fender, and black skid plates on the bumper. 

The cabin boasts of the black-colored dashboard with grey inserts, thus giving it a sporty look. Furthermore, The models get black leatherette seats and door trims. Both the XT and XT+ variants come equipped with a plethora of features. These include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, engine drive mode, keyless entry, automatic climate control, and engine start/stop button among others. As for safety features, both the variants get dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, and hill hold assist among others. The XT+ variant gets a panoramic sunroof too.

Tata Harrier Dark Edition XT and XT+ variants continue to draw power from a 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out 170 bhp and 350 Nm. The engine is available only with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The top-end XZ variant also gets an option of a 6-speed automatic gearbox along with the manual unit.
