The car comes fitted with projector headlamps and a touchscreen infotainment system.

The company has added a new variant called the Nexon XZ, priced at Rs 7.99 lakh for the petrol variant, and Rs 8.99 lakh (ex- showroom, Delhi) for the diesel.

Mechanically, the car uses the same 110hp, 1.5-litre diesel and 110hp, 1.2-litre petrol powertrains. These engines continue to offer multi-drive modes and the changes are limited to features and cosmetics.

The XZ trim, however, doesn’t get a dual-tone roof, daytime running lamps (DRLs), alloy wheels, front and rear-centre armrests, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, front and rear fog lamps, a rear defogger, the smart-key and the push-start button – these are features only the top trim gets.

What you do get are projector headlamps, a Harman-sourced 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration and android auto connectivity; voice commands, voice alert feature (seatbelt, hand brake release, door open, low fuel and service reminder) and height adjust for the driver’s seat and the seatbelt. The company is also working on creating an AMT gearbox-equipped Nexon soon.
