Tata Nexon, Nexon EV, Harrier, Safari Dark Editions Launched in India; Prices Start at INR 11.45 Lakh

The auto giant first introduced the Dark Edition version of the Harrier SUV in 2019.

Tata Motors has unveiled the Dark Edition of its famous sports utility vehicles, the Nexon EV, Nexon, Safari, and Harrier. The updated SUVs now come at a starting price of INR 11.45 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to INR 20.69 lakh (ex-showroom). All four premium SUVs are covered in an all-black exterior theme.

The auto giant introduced the Dark Edition version of the Harrier SUV in 2019. Later, Tata Motors extended the Dark version to other models like the Nexon and Safari SUVs. In the company’s overall offering across its portfolio, Dark Edition is now a signature addition. The black color enhances the feel and look of the brand’s premium SUVs.

The Nexon Dark Edition is the most affordable SUV in the company’s lineup. Available at a starting price of INR 11.45 lakh (ex-showroom), the new version comes with cosmetic exterior changes. The car rolls on blacked-out alloy wheels, and it features Dark Edition badging. The car’s interior also features a black theme. The Nexon comes equipped with Amazon Alexa, a wireless charger, and a 'hidden until lit' capacitive touch FATC panel. It gets a Tata Voice Assistant that offers more than 200 voice commands in six languages. The Standard Nexon SUV comes at a starting price of INR 8.15 lakh, and it goes up to INR 15.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Nexon EV also gets the same cosmetic changes as the Nexon. It has a bold digital design language. The exterior displays a more muscular stance along with a strong body. The EV comes in an all-black shade. It features leatherette seats and Dark Edition badging. The electric vehicle is loaded with safety features such as an SOS calling function, a blind spot view monitor, and an embedded map view in the digital cockpit. The Nexon.ev comes with the capability of vehicle-to-vehicle charging and vehicle-to-load technology. The auto giant is also offering Arcade.ev, which is an in-built app suite (15+ apps) and a 31.24-cm Harman Cinematic touchscreen system.

The Safari and Harrier Dark Edition SUVs feature a black theme with bold Oberon black exteriors. The SUVs have piano black accents, a blackstone interior theme, and Dark Edition logos. The Dark Badge is also integrated into the cabin and on the headrests. The Harrier Dark Edition is available at a starting price of INR 19.99 lakh, while the updated Safari Dark Edition is priced at INR 20.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
