Tata Motors supplies Tigor EV extended range to Gujarat Vij Company.

Tata Motors has partnered with Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd(UGVCL) with a purpose to deploy Tigor Electric Vehicles(EV) in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad as apart of its tender with EESL. The homegrown automaker launched its extended range-Tata EV electric sedan for all consumers. The new extended version of Tigor EV qualifies for a FAME II incentive for eligible commercial customers and offers a plethora of new features. Available in three variants namely XE+, XM+, and XT+, this electric EV offers an enhanced driving range of 213 km on a single charge. Minister of Energy, Saurabhbhai Patel and Mahesh Singh, MD, Uttar Gujarat Vij Company along with dignitaries from Tata Motors flagged off the first batch of Tata Tigor EV.

With an aim to drive the adoption of electric mobility in the country, Tata Motors has launched Tigor EV extended range as the model aptly addresses the requirements of longer-range applications and also provides higher revenue earning potential for our commercial customers.

In terms of cosmetic updates, it features signature EV decals on the side. All set to ride on alloy wheels, it flaunts a front grille that gives a premium appeal. Other highlights include shark fin antenna along with LED high mounted stop lamp at the rear end.

Under the hood, the Tigor EV gets a 21.5 kWh battery pack along with a single-speed transmission. It also offers a host of safety features like dual airbags and anti-lock braking system.
