Tata Nexon and Altroz Dark Edition Bookings Open

Tata Nexon Dark and Altroz Dark Editions are expected to be launched on July 7, 2021

Tata Motors Company is all set to expand its Dark Edition lineup. The homegrown automaker is likely to launch the Nexon Dark and Altroz Dark Editions on July 7, 2021, in the country. Both models were recently spotted at a dealership yard.  As per a media report, the dealers have started accepting bookings for the same. The Dark Editions are likely to be offered in the top-spec trim. Furthermore, they are expected to be priced at a premium of around Rs 20,000 over the standard variants. Moving on, the Dark Edition of both cars will get sporty black treatment along with the Atlas Black paint scheme. 


Talking about Tata Nexon Dark Edition, it gets a black finish on the front grille, fog lamp housing, and lower bumpers. The SUV further gets grey beltline garnishing which in regular trim is finished in white. The blacked-out alloy wheels give the model a sporty appeal. Moving inside the cabin of the Nexon Dark Edition, it features an all-black dashboard along with darker door pads and seats. Feature-wise, it comes equipped with automatic headlamps, an 8-speaker Harman audio system, rain-sensing wipers, 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, cooled glovebox, premium leatherette seats, multi-drive modes, among many others. 

The Tata Altroz Dark Edition features a blacked-out grille and lower bumper up front. Similar to Tata Harrier, it features the ‘Dark’ badging on the front fenders. The 'Altroz' insignia is also finished in black. The size of the alloy wheels remains unchanged. However, they get a sporty gloss black finish. The cabin of the Altroz Dark Edition boasts of blacked-out leatherette seats and door pads. Furthermore, the dashboard gets a gloss black finish. Other highlighted features include auto headlamps, steering mounted controls, rain-sensing wipers, ambient lighting, climate control, front & rear armrest, wearable key, and rear AC vents. 


Mechanically, the Dark Edition variants remain identical to the standard trims of the respective cars. The Nexon Dark Edition will draw its power from the same 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. Tata Altorz Dark Edition, on the other hand, will be offered with the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. We are still not sure whether Tata Altroz turbo petrol will receive a Dark Edition or not.
