Tata Nexon EV deliveries begin, priced at Rs 13.99 Lakhs

Electric Vehicles are increasingly becoming a popular choice for the Indian customers. Auto Expo 2020 played host to a good number of unveilings and launches in the EV segment which exhibited the growing interest of both automakers and consumers towards electric vehicles. Tata Nexon EV was launched in January 2020 before Delhi Auto Expo at an introductory price of Rs 13.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The good news is that the deliveries have begun across India and customers will be shortly receiving the Tata Nexon EV. Tata Nexon EV XM variant is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh, the XZ+ and XZ+ Lux trims cost Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 15.99 lakh. All prices are Ex-Showroom India. Nexon EV comes in three colours - Moonlit Silver, Signature Teal Blue and Glacier White.

The Tata Nexon EV is powered by a 30.2 kWh battery under its skin and  can be charged up to 80 per cent in just 60 minutes with a DC fast charger. Coupled with the battery pack is an electric motor with a single-speed transmission. This motor churns out 127.2 of maximum power, along with 245 Nm of peak torque. While, a 3.3 kW AC fast charger will take about 8 hours to charge the battery upto 100 percent. Nexon claims to go 312 kms on a single charge while clocking a maximum speed of 180 kmph.

The Nexon EV top-end variant comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.  Other exciting features include voice command, smartphone-based navigation, a Harman sound system, leather-wrapped steering wheel and rear parking camera with reverse park assist. The Tata Nexon EV  competes against the likes of MG ZS EV and the Hyundai Kona in the Indian market. For customer satisfaction and peace of mind, Tata Nexon EV also comes with an 8-year/1,60,000 km warranty.
