Tata Nexon EV, with these new additions, has been spotted at company dealerships

Tata Motors had silently made a couple of cosmetic updates to the Nexon SUV earlier this month in the country which included newly designed five spoke alloy wheels and the latest version of the touchscreen infotainment system. Now, these changes have made their way to the all-electric iteration of the SUV. Tata Nexon EV with these new additions has been spotted at company dealerships. In addition, it has been learnt that the brand will also launch a 'Dark Edition' of the Nexon EV in the coming days in the Indian market.

Tata Nexon was initially offered with a unique V-shaped alloy wheel design which appeared quite peculiar. But, it has gone for a toss in favour of the more traditional 5-spoke diamond cut alloy wheels. Furthermore, Tata Motors has updated the touchscreen infotainment unit of the SUV by removing the physical buttons and centre console knobs. In fact, multiple functions such as Home, Favorites, Back, Smartphone and Next/Previous can now be operated through the touchscreen system itself instead of the physical buttons which were present previously. The knob on the centre console was used to control the volume and radio tuning. The removal of these buttons and knobs have made the dashboard look less congested.

Mechanically, Tata Nexon EV is powered by a 30.2 kWh battery pack which is connected to an electric motor. The SUV has a power output of 129 bhp while the torque performance is rated at 245 Nm. It comes with a driving range of 312 kms on a full charge. The Nexon EV can be fully charged by a wall mounted AC charger socket in 8-9 hours while the company has also offered a fast charging option via a DC charger. Using a DC charger, it can be charged from 0-80 percent in merely an hour. Tata Nexon EV has received the highest 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP. The SUV rivals the likes of Hyundai Kona and MG ZS EV in India while priced in a bracket of Rs 13.99-16.56 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).
