Tata Motors had launched the Nexon facelift earlier this year at a starting price of Rs 6.95 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) in the Indian market. Now, the company has silently issued a notification to all its dealer partners regarding the introduction of a new front grille design with the subcompact SUV. Tata Nexon front grille now flaunts a bi-arrow pattern instead of the 7 tri-arrow layout in white colour. Initially, the new grille design will be offered with six variants of the Nexon: XZ+, XZA+, XZ+(S), XZA+(S), XZ+(O) and XZA+(O).

The outgoing 7 tri-arrow arrangement features three arrows in left and three in right which are highlighted in white color. As for the central tri-arrow, the lower arms are highlighted. Recently, Tata Nexon got a new sunroof variant in the form of XM (S) which was introduced in both petrol and diesel fuel trims with manual as well as automatic transmission options. Being launched at Rs 8.36 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi), Tata Nexon XM (S) features included Automatic headlamps, Rain sensing wipers, LED DRLs with Projector headlamps, ConnectNext Infotainment System by Harman, Multi- Drive Modes (Eco, City and Sport) and Steering mounted controls. It was equipped with premium safety features such as Electronic Stability Program, Driver and Co-Driver Airbags and Hill Hold Control.

Coming to the mechanicals, Tata Nexon is powered by a set of BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variants are equipped with a 1.2L turbocharged engine which develops top power of 108bhp and peak torque of 170Nm while the diesel variants come loaded with a 1.5L turbocharged engine with 108bhp and 260Nm. The transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT unit. Tata Nexon is a sub 4-metre SUV which rivals the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV300 in the Indian market. Tata Nexon electric is also available for sale in select cities in India in a price range of Rs 13.99-15.99 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi).
