The car’s infotainment system only had Android Auto earlier.

The Nexon now comes bundled with Apple CarPlay on the Nexon’s infotainment system, which was previously only offered Android Auto. The higher-spec trims of the Nexon – the XZ, XZ+ and XZA+ (automatic) – come fitted with a Harman-sourced 6.5-inch infotainment system, which also responds to voice commands.

The new cars will come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, and if you already own a Nexon, you can head to your nearest dealership to get the software update, which takes about 30min to install.

The success of the Nexon compact SUV has aided the company in posting growth figures of 14 percent growth in the domestic market in July 2018.
