Tata Safari 2021 will be offered in four trims namely XE, XM, XT and XZ

Tata Motors has announced the launch of Safari 7-seater SUV on February 22, 2021 in the Indian market. The deliveries of the all-new SUV will start from that day itself in the country. Tata Safari 2021 bookings have started from today at a token amount of Rs 30,000 both online and at the company authorized dealerships. The dealer dispatch has begun and test drive vehicles can be spotted at the dealerships. To be offered in four trims namely XE, XM, XT and XZ, Tata Safari will be at loggerheads with the likes of MG Hector and Mahindra XUV500 in the Indian market.




Speaking of 2021 Tata Safari, it gets the same tri-arrow pattern front grille and sleek LED DRLs. Riding on 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, it is based on OMEGARC architecture which is derived from Land Rover's D8 platform. The styling cues have been taken from Tata's Impact 2.0 design language with imposing wheel arches and chrome accents. The cabin comes finished in Benecke Kaliko Oyster White theme with Ash Wood dashboard with captain seats in the second row. As for features, it boasts of a best-in-segment panoramic sunroof, Xenon HID projector headlamps, Powered driver seat, Electronic parking brakes with auto hold, Fully automatic climate control, Multi Drive Modes, 8.8-inch floating island touchscreen infotainment with iRA connectivity, 9 JBL speakers and a subwoofer.



Coming to the safety features, the 2021 Safari SUV will get all disc brakes, six airbags, electronic stability program, hill hold control and roll over mitigation. Under the hood, it will carry a 2.0L 4-cylinder Kyroctech diesel engine which will develop top power of 167bhp and peak torque of 350Nm while available with a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission. The top-of-the-line XZ variant will also feature terrain response modes as standard. Tata Safari 2021 price is expected to start from Rs 14.99 Lakhs while the range-topping trim could go as high as Rs 21.99 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). The SUV is being locally developed at Tata's manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra.
