Tata Motors has launched the Tiago limited edition at an introductory price of Rs 5.79 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. Being based on the XT trim, Tata Tiago limited edition marks the first anniversary of the launch of the facelifted version of the hatchback which was launched last year. It is offered with manual transmission in a total of three single-tone color schemes namely Flame Red, Pearlescent White and Daytona Grey. The limited edition hatchback comes with a few extra features while mechanically being the same as the standard version.
Tata Tiago limited edition rides on newly designed 14-inch black alloy wheels while boasting of a Harman developed 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment unit consists of several features such as 3D Navigation through Navimaps, Reverse Parking Sensor with Display, Voice Command Recognition and Image & Video Playback. In addition, the company has added a new feature in the form of a Rear Parcel Shelf in the limited edition model. Under the bonnet, it has the same BS6 compliant 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine which generates maximum power output of 85bhp at 6000rpm and peak torque of 113Nm at 3300rpm. The engine is linked to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard.
Commenting on the launch of this new variant, Mr. Vivek Srivatsa – Head - Marketing, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors said, “Since its launch in 2016, the Tata Tiago has been very successful in its segment and has been appreciated by all. Following the same, the product’s BS6 version was introduced in 2020 which also received a 4 star safety rating by GNCAP at launch, making it the safest in its segment. With more than 3.25 lakh happy customers on the road, the Tiago has evidently received tremendous market response. We are confident that through the introduction of this limited period variant and in alignment with our New Forever philosophy, we will continue to bring excitement in this space while catering to the ever evolving demand of our consumers.”
